United Theological College envisions itself as a transformative hub of theological education in this part of the globe. The college has immense potential to impact lives, communities, and the world through its graduates. UTC is more than a mere theological educational institution; it is a family where knowledge and wisdom are shared out of love and a desire for productive and sustainable continuity. Here, we cultivate leaders who are equipped to engage with pressing societal issues from the bosom of God’s love. Our graduates emerge not just with degrees but with the tools to enact change—advocating for justice, promoting peace, and fostering reconciliation in our diverse communities because of faith in Jesus Christ. Our education extends far beyond these walls, influencing families, congregations, and the very fabric of our society. When we invest in our college, we invest in a brighter future for Zimbabwe and beyond.
Our institution stands as a testament to the legacy of Jesus of Nazareth teaching his disciples in preparation for life-changing ministry. We are a steady bridge to those early beginnings and into the future. In these times of existential crises, we must renew our commitment to addressing the profound questions that shape our shared life on this planet, drawing from the rich diversity of our cultures and faith traditions and cognisant of our various contexts. We are called to engage deeply with the issues that challenge our communities, fostering an ongoing dialogue that is both relevant and transformative in relation to living together in dignity and sharing resources as communities and nations.
Our college embodies a sacred trust and grapples with the mysteries of theology and the profound questions of shared existence that evoke a sense of wonder and a desire to engage in missional ways. We are part of something greater than ourselves, a journey that invites us to explore the depths of our faith and our humanity. UTC does not travel this road alone. We have a number of partners about whom we can confidently say, we are on the Way, walking with friends and family!
