This course is for pastors, evangelists, lay leaders and anyone who wants to understand why the Church exists for mission. It traces the mission of God through the Bible, the Gospels and the work of Paul, and introduces the major ideas that have shaped the study of mission, including the missio Dei and David Bosch's emerging ecumenical paradigm.
You will also look at how the Gospel came to Africa and Zimbabwe, the cultural challenges missionaries faced, and how churches today can witness together in an ecumenical spirit. Each lesson includes notes, key terms, reflection questions and a short quiz.
