This self-study course is for pastors, evangelists, lay preachers and theology students who want to read the New Testament in the language in which it was written. No previous knowledge of Greek is needed: you begin with the alphabet and pronunciation and move step by step through nouns, adjectives, pronouns, prepositions and verbs.
Every lesson uses real New Testament sentences, such as John 1:1 and 1 John 4:8, so that you see how grammar affects interpretation. Short quizzes after each lesson test the forms and meanings you have learned, and a certificate is awarded on completion.
What you will learn

- Recognise and parse the main noun, adjective and pronoun forms
- Translate common prepositional phrases correctly
- Parse present, future, imperfect and aorist verbs of λύω and εἰμί
