Harare, 27 March 2026 — On Thursday, 26 March 2026, the United Theological College (UTC) received a generous donation of books from Rev. Gracious Moyo of the New England Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in the United States of America.
The books, sourced from pastors within the synod, were officially opened by the College Principal, Rev. Dr Kupakwashe Mtata, together with members of the student body.
Rev. Moyo is an alumnus of UTC, and this is not his first gift to his alma mater. He has previously donated volumes of books to the college, steadily enriching its library resources. This latest donation is a testament to his ongoing support for the institution that formed him, and it will support the academic and spiritual growth of students and faculty alike.
There is something deeply powerful about an alumnus who remembers.
Long after graduation, after ministry has taken them to new congregations, new cities, and even new continents, some alumni never forget where their calling was nurtured.
